Ah, the Golden Years! We've worked our entire lives so that we can finally leave behind the hustle and bustle of the work-a-day world to enjoy the sedentary years of retirement. We get to relax all day in our rocking chairs without having to do anything besides knitting and watching The Price is Right. Leave the parties and lively events to the youngsters, right? Maybe not!
If this is your opinion, you may be in for a pleasant surprise. Our video shows that, no matter the date on the birth certificate, all it takes is a little music, and a youthful mind and spirit, to bring out the youngster in anyone.
In spite of what the mirror says, on the inside we are very much the same people we were when we were younger. We have the same love of life, music, and fun. It’s just that our achy, creaky bodies force us to miss out on so much.
Once in awhile, however, and under the right circumstances, the young person inside breaks free and, just for a moment, shines as we did years ago.
When we get to witness this transformation in our beloved parents or grandparents, it is a precious sight, and can bring both a smile and a tear to our faces. It also gives us hope that those later years can still give way to moments of spunk, vivacity, and laughter.
Please enjoy the sweet video, below, and get ready to laugh, cry, and cheer for those magical Golden Years.
