Carrie Underwood is, undeniably, one of Country Music’s biggest stars. She has won over 80 awards for her music, including seven Grammys! In 2017, she was even inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame! Carrie is considered one of the greatest musicians of any genre due to her amazing record sales of over 65 million, worldwide!

Carrie Underwood’s rise to fame began in 2004 when she became the winner of American Idol’s fourth season. When she first auditioned for the show, Simon Cowell predicted that she would go on to become the best-selling artist yet. Nowadays, everyone believes this amazing artist will be regarded as one of the best of her generation!

This amazing superstar surely hasn’t forgotten her roots, though. In 2009, she created the Checotah Animal, Town, and School Foundation (or C.A.T.S. Foundation) to help improve her hometown. The organization helps local schools get the equipment they need, from computers to musical instruments and even new playground equipment!

With her help, the town has also been able to build a new animal shelter where they can help animals in desperate need find their perfect forever family! With the foundation’s help, the new shelter has been able to help teach the residents about the importance of spaying and neutering, and how to properly care for their pets. Without Carrie Underwood’s help, none of this would even be possible!
