Choirs are one of the most wonderful things in the world. Their ability to sing the most beautiful songs and create truly beautiful moments with nothing more than their God-given voices is one of the greatest things on Earth.

The Angel City Chorale took this to a whole new level when they learned how to mimic the sounds of a thunderstorm with nothing more than their hands and mouths. It starts off softly, with the members of the choir merely rubbing their hands together.

Once all of the members are rubbing their hands together, it begins to sound like rain in the distance. Slowly, members begin to snap their fingers, as the snapping spreads across the choir, it begins to sound like the rain has moved closer, and is falling on the rooftop.

Then, they move into smacking their hands on their legs, creating a thunderous rain, making it sound like an extremely loud rainstorm, the kind that will flood a city. With nothing more than a simple jump from the members, a clap of thunder rings out through the auditorium.

After the rainstorm is created, they go on to sing the song, Africa. It is one of the most wondrous performances that anyone has ever had the good luck to see, and it truly took my breath away.
