Middle school is often a tough place to be in for many kids. Not many of us look back and say "Oh, if I could only be in middle school again." I know I certainly wouldn't want to go back to those days and sometimes wish I could protect my kids from all of the issues that come up during that time. 

 

It's hard being in the transition from a kid to a teen. There are choices to be made that will shape who you become. You make the choice of who you will hang out with, if you will actually do your schoolwork and risk being seen as a "nerd" and whether or not being seen as "cool" is more important than being true to yourself. 

 

Don't get me wrong those 3 years weren't all bad. I made some wonderful friends that I'm still in touch with today, but for the most part, it was a confusing and frustrating time in my life. Not to mention the hormonal changes you go through, so many emotions!
