Did This Alligator Use A Spray Tan To Get This Color? Experts Say Nope.

This funny looking alligator has the the small town of Hanahan, S.C. talking up a storm. 

The question is, why does he look so orange? Every year he continues to grow and every year he seems to get more orange. Perhaps he is using a self-tanning solution that doesn't work so well!

One of the residence jokes by saying it might be a fan of their local football team, the Clemson Tigers, whose colors are orange and blue. 

Experts think that it's more than likely due to some sort of algae in the water source or perhaps the color is from where the animal spent the winter. Who knows, it might have crawled into an old rusty pipe and stayed there too long!

Whatever is going on with this happy fellow, he sure stands out!
