Cheesecake the capybara took on the role of being a foster mom to the young puppies without any hesitation. Ever since that first litter of pups, Cheesecake has fostered all the abandoned young puppies from the time they are ready to leave the house.
Cheesecake always took excellent care of her puppies! Like most toddlers, the puppies wanted to be wherever Cheesecake was and doing what she was doing. That even includes swimming!
The puppies all loved their foster mama and wanted to show their love by giving her kisses and of course "playing" with her! I think the puppies doted on Cheesecake as much as she did them.
Cheesecake was not only friendly with the puppies that she cared for, but with many of the other animals at the refuge too. This chicken was called Cheesecake's Chicken because she could frequently be seen perched on the capybara's back!
