It's that time of year when kids, young and old, begin planning out their trick-or-treat attire. Hallowe’en night is such a fun time for kids and adults alike as they venture from door-to-door in unique ensembles. If you're the one who stays home to dish out the candy, you want to make sure your home is extra appealing to the little trick-or-treaters. What better way to bring some seasonal fun to the evening than with some DIY Halloween decorations?

With just a little time and effort, you'll be able to create some adorably ghoulish adornments for your home that will add a wee bit of fright to your spooky night! To make this creepy craft you'll need 4x4 pieces of wood, 120-grit sanding sponges, tack cloth, spray paint (white, green, orange, brown, and black), paper, scissors, wood glue, white gauze, a craft drawer knob, a black marker, and plastic eyes.

First, sand down your 4x4 wood with the sanding sponge. Be sure to soften all corners and edges. After sanding, wipe down the wood with a damp cloth.

To make a mummy, spray all sides of the wood with black spray paint. Spread some wood glue on the backs of the plastic eyes and press them onto the wood.

Wrap the wood block with white gauze. Tuck any loose parts into the back of the gauze. Display the finished product in the location of your choice to spruce up your home for this Halloween season. Check out the following page to see three other spook-tacular Halloween crafts!
