Here's How To Make A Delicious Frozen Treat That Will Help Keep Your Fur Babies Cool All Summer Long
The hot weather months are quickly approaching. We're busting out our t-shirts, flip-flops, and sunglasses. The best time of the year is finally near!
The days are longer, the temperature is hotter, and the sun is brighter than any other time of the year. Our fur babies always get a little antsier in anticipation of the warm weather, too. They love being able to lazily relax in the warm sunshine or take a dip in the cool water of the pool.
They love being outdoors just as much as we do! If we're not careful, our little fur babies can overheat pretty quickly. We always want to take loving care and attention to our pups and ensure that even in the blazing heat, they've got ways to stay cool.
We've come across a recipe that is the PERFECT summer treat that any dog will adore! They're extremely easy to make and your dog will become ever so excited when he sees you bringing him a puppy pop! All you need is a few simple ingredients you've got in your pantry.
INGREDIENTS:
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. Greek yogurt
2 tbsp. honey
banana
chew sticks
bones
Dixie cups or smaller disposable cups
DIRECTIONS:
Mix the peanut butter, Greek yogurt, honey, and banana together in a blender. Spoon the blended mixture into the small cups and fill about 3/4 full. Stick a bone or a chew in the middle of the cup in place of a popsicle stick.
Freeze at least four hours or until completely solid. Once frozen, remove the cup and watch your pups devour their special pops with great delight! If your dog is allergic to any of the above ingredients, substitute for something similar that they can digest.
