Once that layer is dry, brush on a layer of the matte sealant. This step will prevent the stencil from peeling off the black matte paint. Select the stencil of your choice. In the video, a stencil was made using a Cameo Silhouette, but any stencil will work for the sake of this project.

Measure the exact area of the door where you want the stencil to go. Once the stencil is in place, take your white matte acrylic chalkboard paint and brush over the stenciled area. Once the paint is completely dry, carefully remove the stencil from the door.

Take a piece of chalk and color along the border of the door. Use a soft rag to brush away any chalk dust and to blend it in throughout the door. Spray the door with a strong-hold hairspray to help set the chalk.

Set your new decorative piece in the place of your choosing and enjoy your beautiful handiwork. When your friends and family see this stunning piece, they'll be begging you for one of their own!
