Kate Middleton is known for turning heads at every high profile event. Her classy attire always exudes elegance and grace no matter what style she chooses. Women all across the globe use her as their fashion inspiration, and for a good reason!

Last year at the BAFTAS, Kate donned a stunning off-the-shoulder Alexander McQueen dress that stunned the world. Its silhouette hung beautifully on her, and the print was a lovely green and white floral print. This year, though, she is forbidden to wear black. The reason might not be what you would expect.

At the Golden Globes, guests were encouraged to dress in black to show support for the sexual harassment group, Time’s Up, that formed in response to the Harvey Weinstein allegations. At this year’s BAFTAS, attendees are encouraged to do the same.

If Kate chooses to wear black to this year’s event, she could face a royal backlash. Wearing black could signal that she is making a political statement, which is strictly forbidden in the royal household. If she decides to go against the grain and wear a different color, though, she could face a great deal of backlash from the media.

Only time will tell what Kate will don but, either way, all eyes will be on her. If you were Kate, what would you do, considering the circumstances?
