Giraffes are the tallest land animals in the world and they come from the beautiful grasslands of Africa! They use their long necks to eat food from places other animals can't reach and use their long legs for fast getaways or defense. They can run up to 35 miles per hour! 

Don't worry though, only lions and crocodiles hunt Giraffes so they are safe from most of the dangerous animals found throughout Africa. Becuase they can see over most of the obstacles on the ground many animals use them as a type of early warning system. If the Giraffe takes off running, so does everyone else.
