This story is one of a brave, spirited, and strong young girl that has completely blown the minds of doctors since the day she came into this world. On the day she was born, Kenadie Jourdin-Bromley weighed a mere 2.5 lbs and was 11 inches long. "When she was born, she was really perfect. She was just miniature. She was chubby, she had pink skin, and her eyes were bright," her mother, Brianne, said. She was told the devastating news that her little baby likely wouldn't survive more than a few days and to prepare for the worst.

They brought their doll-sized baby home, the thought of that always in the back her mind. "We thought we were just going to take her home to die, that's what they told us," Brianne said. They decided to take things one day at a time and try to enjoy every moment with their little one. Days passed and they soon realized that their little one was thriving beyond what any doctor had assumed.

When she was eight months old, she was diagnosed with a rare form of primordial dwarfism, which explained why this sweet little baby was so tiny. Those born with this condition are proportionately sized but are far smaller than the average human. This rare condition affects only 100 people worldwide.

Though her mother was fearful of the doctors' news, she had hope that her little miracle baby would defy all odds placed against her. Much to the doctors' surprise, Kenadie the miracle girl is thriving far beyond what they ever imagined. The days quickly turned into years, and Kenadie recently celebrated her twelfth birthday!

Kenadie is now 39.5 inches tall and weighs 23.5 lbs, which is roughly the weight of an average two-year-old. She's in the seventh grade and is at least two feet shorter than her peers. This hasn't defeated her one bit, though! As she grows older, she continues to blow the minds of doctors with her strength and determination.

"Most parents don't have to imagine their kid not living past whatever age, but it's a reality for us that I will probably lose her," Brianne said tearfully. Though she knows her daughter is thriving, the odds of this disorder are somewhat unpredictable.
