In life, we all have challenges that we must face. Whether they are ones we acquire at birth or difficulties that arise later, there is almost always something that we will need to meet head-on. Humans aren't the only ones that have these issues. Animals often have their own set of circumstances to overcome.

Meet Oskar! Oskar is a blind cat that lives life to the fullest! He was born with a severe form of the condition Microphthalmia. Having this defect means that his eyes never fully developed in utero, due to specific genetic factors. Oskar is technically blind, but he doesn't let that stop him from experiencing some epic adventures!

Oskar was born on a farm and adopted by his family when he was three months old. When he got his human family he also got a fur-brother, Klaus, who soon became his best pal; the two are thick-as-thieves.

Oskar and his best friend fur-ever Klaus are starring in an adventure kitty series! Since Oskar is blind, the children's books are even available in braille. What a wonderful idea! Oskar's advocacy for the blind has made him a feline Braille Literacy Ambassador for the National Federation of the Blind.

Now, millions of people all over the world follow the escapades of Oskar and Klaus, whose adventures include going to the moon as Astro-cats and exploring around the home with their family! In fact, Oskar and Klaus did go to space - via their book, that is! The book blasted into orbit inside of SpaceX CRS-12, a Commercial Resupply Service mission capsule, and then was read by a crew member of the International Space Station, to children of the world!

Check out this sweet video of a very young and playful Oskar and one of the reasons that he first went viral.
