People Had Given Up On This Dog With A Rare Disorder. Then The Best Dad Ever Stepped In To Save Her.
Ayita's new dad noticed that she was a bit small for her breed type and also noticed some deformities on her body. When he looked into it more, he realized that Ayita had a rare disorder called MPS. This disorder prevented Ayita's body from metabolizing sugar which then affected her muscle growth. While the disorder was heartbreaking, it did not deter Ayita's dad from loving her all the more.
Ayita's dad was not sure how long she would be on this earth, so when he discovered her disorder, he made it his mission to love her unconditionally and give her a life filled with joy and happiness. "They say the more love that they are shown, the longer they live." Ayita's dad took her to the Bully Rescue facility every day so she could see the other dogs there. All of the dogs loved Ayita and made her feel right at home.
Needless to say, Ayita inspired everyone in the NYBC to love more. Whether it was loving the dogs they rescued or the people around them, everyone was inspired by the story of Ayita and how love was literally keeping her going.
Despite her deformities and rough start, Ayita would be known as one of the most loved dogs to ever be rescued by the NYBC. We could all learn a lot about loving our neighbor from Ayita and her new family! WATCH the video below to see Ayita and her amazing dad.
