If you have ever been to the zoo, and are anything like me, one of the first things you wanted to see was the elephants! Elephants are some of the most intriguing and majestic animals on the planet. Their sheer size alone is enough to make anyone stop and stare. Of course, elephants don't start out so big. They all start out as little calfs. Granted, a small elephant calf is much bigger than most other animal babies, but still.
Elephants are naturally socially inclined animals, so when the baby elephant in this story saw a flock of birds nearby, all he wanted to do was play. The hilarious chase that ensued left everyone giggling. One day, in a large elephant enclosure, a new addition to the family was getting a feel for his surroundings. People passing by were eager to see the gentle giants and when they heard about the cute little new addition all eyes were on the young elephant.
The little elephant did not seem to notice the onlookers around him. He was far too busy exploring every nook and cranny that he could. The young elephant wanted to take everything in and eagerly ran around the large enclosure to see everything around him. The little calf obviously did not wander too far from its mother, however, because he was still new to the place.
Soon, however, the young elephant spotted something he had never seen before. A flock of birds was in the enclosure, leisurely taking a stroll. The young elephant was confused. What were these strange looking creatures? Were they supposed to be there? And if they were supposed to be there, why were they so much smaller and different looking than everyone else in the enclosure.
The calf walked this way and that way, seemingly asking all the other elephants if those birds were supposed to be in the elephant's home. No one would answer him, however, so he continued to stare, flabbergasted at the little creatures. The little elephant decided that he would take it upon himself to find out the truth about the birds.
The birds didn't seem to be bothering anyone so the little calf thought that they must be friendly. So, not wanting to be rude, the little elephant decided to go introduce himself to the birds. Little did he know his day was about to get a whole lot more interesting! CLICK "NEXT PAGE" TO READ THE REST OF THE STORY...[VIDEO]
