Put the FUN Back Into Dessert Time With These Funfetti Whoopie Pies!

Cupcakes are great, but sometimes you want something just a tad different for dessert time. If you find yourself all cupcaked out and looking for a fun spin for your next party (or just for a dessert for one!), these funfetti whoopie pies are JUST what you need!

It's a quick little recipe that will look absolutely adorable and taste fantastic! I mean, who doesn't love a good funfetti cake anyway?!

INGREDIENTS:

1 box of white cake mix
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 egg
1/2 container of sprinkles
1 container of white frosting, store-bought or homemade
food coloring

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add your cake mix to a bowl with the butter and eggs and mix until smooth. Fold in your sprinkles. Use and few or as many as you'd like.

Use an ice cream scoop to portion out the dough balls and roll them before pressing them onto a baking sheet lined in parchment paper. Bake for 8-10 minutes and let them cool completely.

While they cool, separate your frosting into different bowls. Use one bowl for each color your plan on using for your filling. Add food coloring and mix each bowl of icing. Put in an icing bag or use a Ziploc with the corner cut off and put icing on the flat side of one of your little cake bites. Top with another little circle and press together.

Repeat until you have a wide variety of colors to choose from and enjoy your delicious rainbow bites!
