Rescued animals normally carry a lifelong attachment and affection for the people who saved their lives. Whether it is a dog that is given a new home or an exotic animal rescued from captivity, animals have a wonderful memory when it comes to those who have shown them love.

One day a little baby Rhino was rescued in the wild. While full grown Rhinos can weigh over 7,000 pounds, this little Rhino was only a day old, so she was tiny. Well, "tiny" as far as Rhinos go anyway. The baby Rhino had been through an ordeal and needed to be checked for injuries.

The Rhino was too frightened, however, and would not let the rescuers check her in any way. No matter how hard they tried, the rescuers could seem to calm the little Rhino down. After they had exhausted all their other options, one rescuer decided to try something that was a bit out of the ordinary.

The rescuer went and got a guitar. When he brought it into the examination room everyone looked at him like he was insane. He looked at everyone else with a look that said, "Do you have a better idea?" Since no one, apparently had a better idea, they stepped aside and let the rescuer approach.

The frightened little Rhino was still fighting to get away, then the man started playing the guitar. From the first strum, the Rhino instantly calmed down. The man kept playing and the more the Rhino listened the more she relaxed. She finally lay down and let the rescuers examine her. She had finally realized she was safe.

The man played his guitar through the entire procedure and soon the baby Rhino was examined and sent to her new enclosure. The rescuer with the guitar went with the little Rhino and played his song for her until she started to get tired. He sat down on the floor next to her, and as he played, the little Rhino curled by his feet and peacefully fell asleep.

After that, the little Rhino had a special bond with the musical rescuer and, more often than not, would not go to sleep without first hearing her lullaby played by her favorite rescue buddy. The Rhino spent her days growing up in the Care For Wild Rhino Sanctuary, where she was taken care of and loved every single day. WATCH the video below to see the adorable Rhino listen to her favorite lullaby.
