When 12-year-old Cash’s best friend, Rosie, died in 2014, he mourned the loss of his beloved best friend. Even three years later, he missed spending his days playing with Rosie. Luckily for him, he’d been a really good pup this year and Santa was more than ready to reward him for his good behavior!

When Christmas rolled around, he never expected to find a new friend! On Christmas morning, Cash waited anxiously as his dad walked through the door carrying an odd-smelling and loosely-wrapped box! From the first moment that his dad walked through the door, Cash was ecstatic and couldn’t wait for the present to be set down!

When Cash’s dad set his gift on the ground, Cash raced over and began smelling it, interested as he tried to figure out what it was. When the lid of the box popped off, an adorable Golden Retriever puppy popped his head up and gazed around curiously. When Cash smelled the young pup, he immediately fell in love and couldn’t wait to play with his new pal!

Cash was definitely excited about his new best friend and looked up at his parents excitedly. Even though Cash still missed his beloved friend, the new addition to the family would bring some joy and laughter back into his life. This was one of the most adorable moments of the year, and excuse us as we wipe away a tear or two from the joyous meeting!
