This recipe is one that I wish I had found years ago! It is 100% dog-friendly, all the way from the cake batter to the toppings.
It's perfect for a pup party or for any special moment you want to shower your dear doggy with love!
Not only is it safe for them, it's also super beautiful!
Watching the dogs in the video devour the cake is proof enough that your pup will adore it just as much!
NGREDIENTS:
Coconut oil
3 cups all-natural peanut butter, divided
2 cups sugar-free applesauce
4 eggs
2 teaspoons baking soda
8 ounces low-fat cream cheese
2 cups plain yogurt
OPTIONAL TOPPINGS:
Carrots
Strawberries
Raspberries
Blueberries
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350ºF and spray a 7" cake pan with coconut oil.
In a bowl, mix together 2 cups peanut butter, applesauce, eggs, and baking soda until combined. Pour a third of the batter into 7" cake pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until cake is set.
Remove from the pan and refrigerate until ready to use. Repeat with remaining batter to create 3 layers.
When ready to frost, whisk together cream cheese with yogurt and peanut butter until a thick frosting forms. Layer cake and frost generously.
Garnish with dog-friendly fruits and vegetables.
