Buckingham Palace Is Looking For A New Roommate

The Queen of England has issued an international request in hopes of finding the perfect addition to her staff at Buckingham Palace! Just last week, The Royal Household issued a permanent offer for “Demi Chef de Partie,” or better known as an assistant chef.

The Assistant Chef position is everything that you could want in a job at Buckingham Palace. The job posting, which was shared on The Royal Household’s website was surprisingly straightforward and offered plenty of benefits; The lucky candidate would cook for The Royals and their children and work with the catering staff.

The position is permanent, and the lucky chef would receive a room in Buckingham Palace along with 33 paid vacation days and includes a 15% employer contribution pension plan plus benefits. Every day looks different for the assistant chef so an ambitious attitude is a must. Meals will be prepared Monday through Sunday and for a variety of events; luncheons, teas, holidays, and parties arise quite often at the palace so work will always be lively.

While those incentives all sounds great, the most drool-worthy of them all is that the chef would be selected to live in the palace. That means living in the same place as The Queen of England, Kate, and William, and come May 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Talk about an elitist bunch of roommates!

The job offer has gone viral and The Queen hopes to fill the position soon. Once a candidate has gone through the necessary interviews, there will be an in-depth background check and of course, a taste test. Once chosen, you'd be working alongside this great staff pictured below!

If you’re interested in working alongside The Queen and The Royal Family, apply on The Royal Household’s website, or click HERE.

The application will expire on January 1, 2018, so be sure to act soon if you or someone you know is interested! Share this listing with anyone you know that loves to cook!
