This is an amazing story of a swan and the man that rescued him. The bond between a man and an injured swan who has is remarkable and was beautifully captured in this photo as the two were reunited.

Years ago Richard Wiese was visiting the UK's Abbotsbury Swannery to host a television show "Born to Explore" when he found an injured swan who had flown into a chain-link fence. As Wiese got closer to the animal,  he tried to make him feel comfortable before they transported him to an animal sanctuary for treatment.

Fast forward a few years, the two were reunited and to Wiese surprise, the animal has not forgotten what he did for him.

Wiese told ABC News: "When I put it next to me I could feel its heart beating and it just relaxed its neck and wrapped it around mine. It's a wonderful moment when an animal totally trusts you."

Swans are usually territorial creatures, who will defend themselves should a person come near a nest. Swans are beautiful animals, but they are known to be vicious around people. Yet this particular swan knows he owes his life to Wiese and didn't attack him out of fear because he knew he was safe.
