When Eldad with Hope For Paws Rescue heard about a dog underneath a car in the city, he knew he needed to help. Allison Dunbar was the woman who called in to get help for little Luna, and she was there to help Eldad rescue her. They had to work carefully to save her to prevent her from running out into the street.

They put fencing all around the car so that she would be safe, and then draped netting over it so she would get entangled if she got entirely freaked out. Luckily, as soon as she was fenced in she calmed right down and allowed Eldad to leash her. They brought her out and scanned her for a microchip.

Luna had a microchip with her owner’s current information! When they called her owner, Dave, they found out that he had been walking her and her brother when a car ran through a crosswalk and hit her brother. His injuries were not severe, but in all the craziness she slipped her collar and ran away. Thanks to her microchip, she was able to be reunited with her loving family a mere four days after running away!
