One hot day, in Florida, rescuers received an unusual call. On a busy highway street, a kitten had gotten stuck in a storm drain. The drain was under the road so no one knew how to reach the kitten. Rescuers responded immediately and arrived on the scene in no time.
After assessing the situation, the rescuers determined they would have to cut through the street in order to get to the drain. Once they had cut through the street, rescuers were able to get to the opening of the pipe and look inside. Sure enough, they could see a small black kitten, hiding in the middle of the pipe.
Rescuers first tried to flush the kitten out with water, but this only scared the kitten, which caused it to retreat further into the pipe. The rescuers tried, again and again, to coax the kitten out, but it remained just out of reach. It was time to take the full plunge.
