In one of the most heartwarming stories to come out so far this year, 13 truckers banded together to save the life of one suicidal man. The story began when police received a phone call around 1 am on April 24 that a man was suicidal and standing on the bridge.
While police tried to talk him down from the edge, the freeways were cleared and closed down until the situation could end. After the roads were clear, police started letting volunteer semi truck drivers pull their vehicles under the bridge.
It took 13 trucks to completely block off the ground under the bridge so that if the jumper did fall, it would be less likely to be a fatal incident. Luckily, police were able to talk him away from the edge.
He was taken to a nearby hospital to receive the help he needed, and the roads were reopened around 4 am. A Fox2 Photographer on another bridge was there and took a photo of the semi trucks all lined up, and the photo has since gone viral.
Please keep this man in your thoughts and prayers tonight as he gets the help he so desperately needs.
