1 Day After Toronto Attack, Car Jumps Curb In Washington D.C. Injuring 4

April 24, 2018

Around 2:30 pm in Washington D.C., a car hopped the curb and struck four pedestrians. The four victims were transported to nearby hospitals with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. This incident occurred a day after a vehicle jumped the curb in Toronto and claimed the lives of ten people.

According to police at the scene of the Washington D.C. incident, this wasn’t an intentional act of terrorism, however. It seems that this is one incident that was truly the cause of nothing more than a traffic accident.

Two vehicles on 9th Street in Northwest D.C. were headed Southwest when one of the cars took a turn too wide and struck the other, pushing it up onto the curb. No one inside of the vehicles were injured, and both drivers remained on scene afterward.

The driver of the vehicle that was pushed onto the curb has been arrested for driving with a suspended license, but according to his girlfriend, “the accident wasn’t our fault.” No matter whose fault this accident was, four innocent bystanders have now been hospitalized.

We can only be grateful that this was not an intentional act of terrorism as people originally feared. Coming so soon after the Toronto attack, this is one accident that certainly worried many people.

Please pray for the victims and their families as they overcome the injuries they suffered and get the chance to hopefully return to daily life.

This is a horrible story, and we know that sometimes we need a reminder of the good in the world at a time like this, so be sure to check out the video below!
