A horrible tragedy struck in California on Monday, March 26, when a vehicle loaded with two women and their three children ended up going over a cliff. The vehicle involved in the accident was 2003 GMC. The identities of the children are not yet being released, but police have identified the women as two 39-year-olds, Jennifer and Sarah Hart. Police have not released the cause of the accident at this time, but do believe that drugs and alcohol were not a factor. It appears that the group had pulled out into a large dirt turn off on the west side of State Route 1, or the Pacific Coast Highway as it is more commonly called. Police are unsure why the vehicle continued on over the cliff after stopping at the dirt turn off.

The vehicle landed upside down on a large boulder that lay on the beach. The children, who were not wearing their seatbelts at the time, were thrown clear from the vehicle, but there were no survivors. It is unknown what time the accident occured, but a passerby spotted the horrible wreck at 3:39 pm and immediately called the police. Please, keep their families in your thoughts and prayers as they face this horrible loss.
