On August 28, a 56-year-old woman was walking down in Kingsland High Street in Dalston, East London. She was about to walk through a crosswalk when she was swiftly struck by an unruly cyclist.
Upon the collision, the male cyclist was thrown from his bicycle.
As soon as he realized what had happened, he jumped back on his bike and quickly fled the scene without giving a second thought to the injured woman laying on the street.
Officials swarmed the scene and have been diligently searching for the hit-and-run suspect. As of now, they have yet to locate him. His bicycle was found ditched in Approach Close, Stoke Newington.
Town officials have issued a public plea for anyone who may recognize this man to come forward as soon as possible. The 56-year-old victim is still under hospitalization from injuries sustained in the incident.
Sources report: “This is a shocking incident that has left a woman in a life-threatening condition in the hospital, whereby the suspect in question fled the scene.”
There have been no arrests made, and only a pixilated image of the man for reference.
