5-Year-Old Dies In Walmart Parking Lot After Car Catches Fire

April 10, 2018

Boise, Idaho, was home to a horrific tragedy in the early morning hours of April 10. A car parked in a Walmart parking lot burst into flames, claiming the life of a 5-year-old girl and sending two others to the hospital in what can only be described as a truly horrible accident.

Around 3:30 am at the Walmart located at 8300 Overland Road, a car burst into flames. Emergency services quickly arrived on the scene, but it was already too late for the young girl. After Emergency services arrived on the scene, they were able to quickly transport the other two inhabitants to a nearby hospital. They are both expected to survive their injuries.

The inhabitants were asleep in the car, perhaps homeless or merely not wanting to pay for a hotel room for the night as they passed through. According to employees, the parking lot there is a common spot for cars to park overnight while their drivers rest.

According to investigators, the fire was likely caused by a portable heater, but have not released an official cause at this time. The identities of the victims are also not being released, pending notification of their families.

Please keep the victims involved in your prayers as they overcome the horrific accident. Please keep the young girl’s family and friends in your thoughts as well at this difficult times. This is surely one of the most horrific accidents to have to face.
