One of life’s greatest gifts is in the form of our elders. Not only have they “been there, done that,” they’re also full of stories, wisdom, and advice. Some of my dearest memories are that of sitting at the feet of my great-grandparents, great aunts, and great uncles, hearing them tell the tales of when they were young. Their stories were always so full of life and undeniably captivating to all who listened.
Eila Campbell seems as though she would be another character to which I’d love to listen. “Living life is about having no regrets!” is the motto she lives by. She’s a resident of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and is 94 years young. By talking to her, you’d never guess she was a day over 75. Her upbeat personality and spunk keep her spirits young and entertain all those who come into contact with her.
When it came time to check an item off her bucket list for her 94th birthday, her family was a bit surprised. Her activity of choice was to go skydiving for the very first time in her life. I don’t know about you, but that’s something I wouldn’t be brave enough to try at my age, much less when I’m in my nineties!
“This year when I’m going to be this age, this old, I figured I’ll never make it for another year. Better do it now,” she confidently told the reporter. And that she did. She suited up, climbed aboard an airplane, and took her very first jump! From the looks of it, she enjoyed every single second. Check out the video, below, to see her in action.
