Growing up I always had a dream of owning a dog farm. I loved dogs and wanted to have hundreds. Kinda crazy now, consider my one dog is enough for me to handle. But Mark Starmer Ives of British Columbia did something all animals lovers could only dream of doing. He went to a local shelter and adopted 45, yes 45, dogs and one grey wolf who were going to euthanized.

He then brought them to his home where he fenced off four acres for them to roam and run free. Imagine what workers at the shelter did when he emptied out all those kennels. They must have been able to go home early that day.

The video below shows all 45 dogs released into the fenced four acres for the first time. You can see the excitement on their faces as they take off running. I have never seen so many happy dogs, it's truly a sight to see. "They are all running around wildly, exploring anything and everything," said Starmer on the camera.

"We live with 45 dogs and a grey wolf,” Starmer said. “A new four-acre play enclosure had just been built for them and the video shows them first being let loose to play in it.”

Starmer said that he is committed to keeping all of the dogs but he also said if some of the dogs were adopted by other loving families then he would be okay with that too. Watch the video below and enjoy a dogs slice of heaven.
