Sam Brownlee was a deputy with the Weld County, Colorado Sheriff's department.
Sam was unfortunately killed in the line of duty during a shootout.
Sam's brothers in the police department wanted to make sure his memory was honored.
Sam's Dodge Charger, which he drove while on duty, was put up for auction in order to raise money to support an organization that provided help for Sam's family.
When Sam's son, Tanner, heard that his father's car was up for auction, he wanted to do whatever he could in order to purchase it!
Unfortunately, Tanner knew he would not have enough money to compete with the high bids that were sure to come.
When the day of the auction arrived, Tanner expressed his desire that if he was not able to purchase the car that it would go to someone who would take care of it!
The bidding started and offers began flooding in; the auction ended with the car being sold for 60,000 dollars!
When the stranger who had won the bid came forward to claim his prize, he turned around and handed the keys to Tanner!
With tears in his eyes Tanner jumped up and embraced the man who had made his dreams come true!
Tanner was now the proud owner of his Father's beloved charger, free of charge, all thanks to the kindness of one loving stranger!
