All Of A Sudden Things Are Happening In London Ahead Of Royal Wedding. See How A Crate Of Lemons Started The Frenzy That Won’t Stop Until The Big Day

May 15, 2018

They say that once the wedding cake has begun, the wedding will surely happen. With all the drama that has gone on this past week concerning Meghan and her family, some of us had doubts that it would actually ever happen. But, according to People, the cake preparations have begun and we all got the great news by a very simple occurrence: the arrival of some lemons!

“Royal baker, Claire Ptak, owner of the London-based Violet bakery, is embarking on her biggest order yet: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s wedding cake. Ptak posted a photo on Instagram on Tuesday of several crates of lemons with the caption: ‘And so it begins’ — as she gears up to create the mother-of-all wedding cakes.

"The picture of six crates of fresh, Sicilian lemons, delivered by fruit and veg merchants Natoora in East London, immediately had her Instagram followers drooling in anticipation.”

It may be a mundane detail of the Royal wedding, but the mere fact that it has happened sparks a sense of impending joy. If it is soon enough to start baking the delectable dessert, that means the wedding is just around the corner!

Kensington Palace announced last month that California-native Ptak would be the designer of their wedding cake and had requested that she “create a lemon elderflower cake that will incorporate the bright flavors of spring.”

Next to the revelation of the bride’s wedding gown, I think the most highly anticipated aspect of the nuptials is that of seeing the beautiful and sure-to-be-elegant masterpiece that will honor Prince Harry and his bride, Meghan Markle.

The wedding is coming up this Saturday, May 19th. The ceremony will begin at 12:00 noon (London time) in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor. Both of the bride’s parents are expected to attend (at last report) and will undertake crucial roles in the ceremony.

After all the hype and the anticipation leading up to the big day, we can hardly wait to see what all the planning has resulted in. We are certain that the event will be one for the ages, and go down as one of the most joyous and memorable celebrations in Royal history.

The road to the altar was not all smooth sailing for the couple, however. To see a little bit of what Meghan has had to endure leading up to her wedding to Prince Harry, watch the video, below.
