When people want a dog, they are presented with a plethora of shapes and sizes to choose from. They could get one as small as a chihuahua or as gigantic as a Great Dane. Either way, once they get that dog home, chances are the new addition to the home will want to cuddle them and thank them for accepting him or her into the family.

Apollo, my greyhound, may have been a bigger dog, but that did not stop him from cuddling me and my entire family any chance he could! The Great Dane in this story would have gotten along with Apollo just fine. All he wanted to do was lay on the couch with his human, but his size may have been a problem.

One night, a Great Dane entered the living room of his home, to find his best friend lying on the couch, watching television. The dog was intrigued and checked to see what was on the tube. Once he saw that his human was watching something he enjoyed, he laid down on the floor to enjoy the show. After a while, however, the dog grew tired of the floor and sought a new location to rest his head.

After a while, however, the dog grew tired of the floor and sought a new location to rest his head. The floor, apprrently, just was not comfortable enough for him. The couch that his owner was laying on, however, looked like the perfect spot for him to watch the rest of the show.

One thing that everyone should realize, is the fact that Great Dane's are incredibly large dogs. A full grown male Great Dane can weigh anywhere from 170 to 200 pounds and can reach a height of 33-36 inches. That, my friends, is a large dog. If you were to get a Great Dane, it could double as a small pony for your children to ride on.

With this in mind, it is no wonder then, that when the Great Dane started eyeballing the couch that his human was laying on, the owner was more than a little concerned about what was going to happen. CLICK "NEXT PAGE" TO READ THE REST OF THE STORY...
