American Idol Finalist And Her Husband Die In Single Car Accident

February 01, 2018

Leah Labelle, a season three American Idol finalist, and her husband, ex-NBA player Rasual Butler, were killed in a single car crash on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Leah was 31 and Rasual was 38.

Leah and Rasual were driving home early on Wednesday morning when Rasual lost control of his vehicle. His car rammed into a parking meter and then a cement wall before it rolled several times.

Leah was an American Idol season three finalist. Since her time on American Idol, she’s had small hits on the radio, however, she’s never made it big. Rasual had a long career in the NBA; he played for the Hornets, Clippers, Bulls, Raptors, Pacers, Wizards, and Spurs.

Rasual and Leah had no children together, however, Rasual is survived by a daughter from a previous relationship, Raven Butler. May their souls rest peacefully and their families be comforted during this time. See Leah on American Idol in the video below.
