It seems as though it were yesterday when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their first child into the world. It was a long-awaited day for people all over the world as the former party boy Harry and his American actress bride, Meghan, proudly announced their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
Thankfully, the world had the grand opportunity to see the little one for the very first time just a couple of days after he was born. Fans went utterly wild over his adorable image and were instantly eager to see more of him already.
While Meghan is busy enjoying the beginning stages of motherhood during her maternity leave, Harry was quick to head back into his bidding royal duties. Thankfully, Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, was by her side from the moment she began labor until several weeks following.
Doria resides in L.A. and recently just headed back to her home, leaving Meghan to tend to her little one alone while Harry is away. Meghan is extremely close with her mother and we knew it had to be only a matter of time before the two would reunite once again.
Believe it or not, it just might be happening sooner than anyone realized. According to sources, the Duchess is already gearing up to take Archie on his first airplane ride overseas to America!
“For Meghan, it’s just as important for Archie to learn about her family history as it is for him to learn about his royal ancestors, so she plans to go on a trip to L.A. with him once she’s comfortable taking him on a plane,” the source states.
They continued: “Their royal highnesses both have enormous respect for the institution of the monarchy and this country and want their family to have an outward-looking approach. It’s about their children being aware of and understanding the wider world and their place in it. They want them to take an active interest in the global community, working towards a fairer society and a more sustainable way of living.”
While the official date of the trip has yet to be set, things are already in the works. It’s only a matter of time before the new mother is going to feel comfortable enough traveling abroad with her newborn. Knowing her mother will be gladly waiting for her visit will likely speed up the trip even more. Hopefully, between now and then, we’ll get another peek at little Archie!
