As Flood Waters Rush In, A Horse is Trapped In Hurricane Harvey's Aftermath. Watch This Incredible Horse Rescue As It Takes Place
As we all know by now, Hurricane Harvey has wreaked havoc on Houston, Texas, and its surrounding areas. This is just one of the amazing rescues that have taken place over the past few days, as many people and animals have been displaced. One horse, left behind, is caught in flood waters as they start to rise. The horse is scared and unable to move.
According to Wikipedia, "Hurricane Harvey was the first major hurricane to make landfall in the United States since Wilma in 2005, ending a record 12-year period with no hurricanes of Category 3 intensity or higher making landfall in the United States. In a four-day period, many areas received more than 40 inches of rain as the system meandered over eastern Texas and adjacent waters, causing catastrophic flooding. The resulting floods inundated hundreds of thousands of homes, displaced more than 30,000 people, and prompted more than 13,000 rescues."
When rescuers get word of one horse in trouble, they quickly move in to help. The current is getting stronger and she is too nervous to move. That's when these heroes make their move and risk their lives to save the sweet mare. One rescuer approaches the horse to calm her down, and the rest is seen in the video, below.
