It still feels surreal to many to think about his passing, especially when his award-winning songs come across the radio. To know that there is no longer going to be music from him is a tragedy in itself.

His family certainly agrees with that and made a very bold yet difficult decision to do something about it. Their choice has not only caused fans to be shocked to the core but has brought back so many emotions to them.

According to sources, Avicii’s family has made the joint decision to move forward and release a posthumous album in his honor. The title of it couldn’t be more suitable for his last go: TIM. His given name is Tim Bergling, so they knew it was the only title they could use that would be fitting.

Many fans were shocked to know that Avicii had been nearing the end of completion for an album right before he passed away. Since then, it has been tucked away for a time such as this.

His family knew that this is just what the world needed. His first single is set to drop on April 10 and the full album will be released on June 6.

All of the proceeds from record sales will go to the Tim Bergling Foundation, which was started after his death in hopes of preventing and aiding those struggling with mental illnesses and suicidal thoughts.
