Royal watchers and bookies have officially announced that they are expecting a little miss for adored first-time parents, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Due in April 2019, the Duchess of Sussex’s first pregnancy has been the topic of international conversation. As a former American actress living in Canada before moving to England, Meghan Markle managed to make quite a name for herself. And after marrying the most eligible bachelor in the world, Prince Harry, she became pregnant with her first ever child.
Harry and Meghan have chosen to take steps in the sibling’s, William and Kate, and decided not to share the sex of their child. But their decision to not share their child’s sex doesn’t mean royal watchers and bookies aren’t sharing their own odds.
According to the UK betting agency, the odds of having a little girl have gone from 10/11 to 1/2. Betfair, the betting agency, spokeswoman’s, Katie Baylis, says, “Following a significant bet this afternoon we’ve slashed the odds of the royal baby being a girl from 10/11 to 1/2, with a boy now out to 6/4.”
If the Duchess is in fact pregnant with a little girl, then the bookies are also taking bets that the chances of the princess being named “Diana” after Harry’s late and beloved mother, Princess Diana, are 5/1.
Katie Baylis has confirmed that Baby Sussex has welcomed some of the highest and biggest bets ever witnesses in the Royal Baby market (Which by the way, who knew there was such a thing!?). Katie also says that the immense attention given to Baby Sussex only confirms that most believe the world will have a new princess in the coming weeks.
Baby Sussex will be Queen Elizabeth’s eighth grandchild and Princess Charles’ fourth. This will also be Doria Ragland’s, Meghan’s mother, first grandchild! I personally think Baby Sussex will be a little girl, but above all I pray the baby is healthy!
