The three words all royal fans have been dying to hear for months now have finally been spoken: IT’S A BOY!
Prince Harry and his bride, Meghan Markle, proudly welcomed their first child together on May 6, 2019. The little one came in weighing 7 pounds and 3 ounces. While we’ve yet to see any sign of the baby, Harry has made it known that both Meghan and the baby are doing exceptionally well.
The proud aunt and uncle, Prince William and Kate Middleton, have also publicly voiced their excitement over the birth of the little one though they have yet to officially meet him as of now. One can only fathom how thrilled the three Cambridge children are to have yet another cousin to add to the mix!
Only time will tell just when we’ll officially get to “meet” the new baby and hear his name but until then, we’ll savor the excitement of knowing he’s finally here.
From the moment Baby Sussex was born, he instantly shook up the royal lineup in a big way. As you know, there is a very strict line of succession for the family stating the order in which one will become King or Queen of England.
As soon as he was born, he instantly jumped up on the list directly behind his father, bumping down a great uncle and two much older cousins. Here’s how the new line of succession looks now that he’s in the world:
1. Prince Charles, Prince of Wales
2. Prince William, Duke of Cambridge
3. Prince George of Cambridge
4. Princess Charlotte of Cambridge
5. Prince Louis of Cambridge
6. Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex
7. Baby Boy Sussex
8. Prince Andrew, Duke of York
9. Princess Beatrice of York
10. Princess Eugenie of York
While, from the looks of it, it appears that Baby Boy Sussex likely won’t be taking the throne, especially if the Cambridges continue to add to their brood, he at least has a spot secured.
We can’t wait to see the first official photos of the little one! What do you think his name will be?
