Bear Held In Captivity For More Than 30 Years. After Being Free For The First Time Ever, This Bear Has A Shocking Transformation

August 09, 2017

More than 30 years ago, a young cub named Fifi was sold to a roadside zoo in Pennsylvania. This roadside zoo was more like a circus and made Fifi perform acts for her keep. This neglected and abused bear was treated terribly at the hands of her owners and her physical appearance took a toll. Then after 20 years, the roadside zoo was shut down. Fifi no longer had to perform tricks but to her horror, the owners just locked her up in a cage and that is where she has spent the last 10 years, waiting and hoping for someone to rescue her.

Finally, the day came when PETA got word of her situation. PETA - People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is the largest animal rights organization in the world, with more than 6.5 million members and supporters. When PETA found out about Fifi, they immediately sprang into action. They took the starving bear to The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado where she received all the treatment and love she needed.

Today, Fifi is a completely different bear. She is at a healthy weight, her beautiful coat grew back and now she is extremely happy with the life she lives. At 30-years-old her life started over and really began. We are so happy for her and pray she lives out the rest of her life happy and healthy with the people she loves. Click the video below to watch her amazing transformation right before your eyes.
