Internet Star Johnny “Danger” Bennett has passed away following a tragic motorcycle accident in Auckland, New Zealand. Police have not yet officially confirmed the death, but according to a close friend, Julian Rivers-Smith, he has been killed.
Johnny Danger rose to fame on Facebook and Instagram for performing all sorts of stunts and pranks, and he has a reputation for being quite reckless. His Facebook account has over 290,000 likes while he has 230,000 followers on Instagram.
According to a fellow biker who present at the time of the accident, between 30 and 50 riders had gathered for the Anzac Day Ride. The fellow biker, who asked to remain anonymous, was riding with Johnny when they were separated from the rest of the group due to traffic.
After the accident, the anonymous biker administered first aid to Johnny while they waited for paramedics to arrive. It wasn’t until after Johnny had passed away that the biker learned that he had been riding with a social media star.
The cause of the accident has not yet been released, as police are still investigating. Answers are sure to follow as police begin to discover more and more information.
Fans have flocked to Twitter and other social media sites to leave their touching tributes to Johnny, and have left comments on all of his Instagram posts as well, wishing him the best.
