Will Ferrell is a beloved comedian known for his work in films such as Anchor Man and Elf. Unfortunately, this beloved actor was involved in a terrifying car accident late Thursday evening.
Will was riding with two other people in an SUV on Interstate 5, south of Alisa Viejo in Orange County. He was headed back from a ‘Funny or Die’ event held near San Diego, where he appeared as Ron Burgundy.
Around 11 pm, their SUV was sideswiped by another vehicle whose driver had fallen asleep at the wheel. Their SUV rolled after being struck, and the airbags deployed.
All of the passengers in the SUV, Will included, were rushed to a local hospital, although Will was seen talking on his cellphone while being loaded into the ambulance.
Will was released early on Friday morning, and according to his manager, he is perfectly fine. He was taken to the hospital due to unspecified injuries, and there are no expected long-term effects of the crash.
There has been no news released about the other two SUV inhabitants or the driver of the car that struck them as of Friday morning.
Please, keep everyone involved with this accident in your prayers. We’re so glad that Will was released from the hospital already, but we are still worried about the fate of the other people involved in the crash.
