Beloved Musician Dies After Lengthy Battle With Pancreatic Cancer Leaving Thousands To Mourn

79-year-old Charles Neville has passed away from pancreatic cancer in Massachusetts. Charles is best known for being a saxophonist in the beloved band from New Orleans, The Neville Brothers.


Charles was born on December 28, in 1938, the second of four brothers born to Amelia Landry and Arthur Neville Senior. They grew up in New Orleans, and were shaped by the music scene in the area at the time.


In 1978, Charles teamed up with his brothers Cyril, Aaron, and Art, to form the Neville Brothers. The boys quickly rose to fame and amassed a loyal following with their wonderful music that captured the hearts of everyone who heard them play!


They released their first album, The Neville Brothers, in 1978 under Capitol Records. They released a total of 21 albums, including 10 studio albums, 5 live albums, and 6 compilation albums. Some of their most popular songs included Yellow Moon, Sister Rosa, and Bird on a Wire.


Since Charles’ death, his family and loved ones have taken to social media where they have shared their thoughts and prayers with everyone.
