Beloved Olympic Gold Medalist Shares Heartbreaking News, Announces Death Of Baby

April 10, 2018

Helen Glover won the hearts of Great Britain when she competed in the 2012 London Olympics where she raced with her partner, Heather Stanning, to win the Gold medal in rowing. Together, they were able to take the Gold again at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, setting a new record for Britain.

Helen and her husband, Steve Backshall, announced that they were expecting twins in July and everyone was so excited for this wonderful Olympian. Unfortunately, a new announcement from her reveals that one of her twins has passed away.

The other baby is still alive, although they have not revealed whether the child is in good shape. The family has also not released information about the cause of the baby’s death.

This is a horrible situation for any family to have to face, and we can’t imagine the difficulty she must be facing. Helen seems to be doing the best she can and they say they are excited to welcome the surviving baby during the coming summer.

Please, keep Helen and Steve in your prayers as they face this awful loss, and pray for the health of the remaining infant. We can’t imagine what they’re going through, and we can only pray that they will find peace.

This is a horrible story, and we know that sometimes we need a reminder of the good in the world at a time like this, so be sure to check out the video below!
