This day and age, suicide has taken the lives of far too many. Day in and day out, we're alerted of many individuals across the globe that take their own lives, leaving us all heartbroken and devastated by the news.
Today, television viewers around the globe are collectively mourning the tragic loss of television star Carlos Lopez Jr.
He was most widely known for his roles in Operation Repo, iCarly, America’s Most Wanted: America Fights Back, CSI: Cyber, and American Made.
Not only did Lopez make himself widely known in the t.v. industry, sources state that he “served 37 months in combat with the 1st Cavalry 82nd Airborne, 101st, 451st CA Bn.”
The news of his passing spread like wildfire on June 25th. He was found lifeless on the balcony of his Los Angeles apartment with a suicide note nearby.
His roommate immediately contacted the local authorities. He was immediately pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Los Angeles County Coroner: “Mr. Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:06 pm yesterday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Toxicology reports are still pending.”
Lopez’s father, Carlos, posted his grievances on his Facebook page:
“Our hearts are heavy. Our handsome, adventurous, and loving son, Carlos Jr., left us for Heaven yesterday and our hearts are so heavy. Keep our family and Carlos’s friend, Ronnie Lee, in your prayers, please. We’ve lost our eldest son and military warrior.”
While we may never know the true reasons behind his apparent suicide, we grieve the loss of an actor, son, and friend to many. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Lopez family during this horrific time.
