This is a sad day for Beth Chapman’s friends, family, and fans.
On June 26th, 2019, Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman confirmed the news that his best friend and wife, Beth, had passed away. Beth was 51.
He confirmed the heartbreaking news in a tweet, saying, “It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.”
The mega-famous and adored bail bondswoman who starred on the reality show "Dog the Bounty Hunter," was admitted to the ICU at Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu on June 23rd.
As a strong and outspoken Christian-believer, Dog has asked the public to pray for his wife several times in the last nine months has her health has steadily declined due to cancer.
After appearing on television for several years in their family-featured reality television show, “Dog The Bounty Hunter,” the couple grew an adored fanbase. In 2017, after more than ten years on screen, they shared the devastating news with their fanbase that Beth was diagnosed with Stage 2 Throat Cancer.
During an A&E special called “Dog & Beth: Fight of Their Lives,“ the couple confirmed that the cancer had been removed in November 2017. But only months later, it returned. She was hospitalized in April due to an accumulation of fluid in her lungs, and doctors performed an emergency procedure to alleviate pressure. In November 2018, she was hospitalized again and forced into emergency surgery.
Beth is survived by Dog, their children Bonnie Jo and Garry, her daughter Cecily, several grandchildren and a great-grandson, as well as son Dominic Davis from a prior relationship.
Please pray for her family during this heartbreaking time.
