October 31, 2018

It’s a heartbreaking day for The Voice fans.

Beverly McClellan, one of the top four contestants on NBC’s The Voice, has died of cancer. She was 49 years old.

On March 30th, 2018, Beverly was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. According to her GoFundMe page, Beverly’s cancer had spread quickly to her colon, bladder, and intestines.

Beverly first appeared on The Voice in the show’s first season in 2011. She stunned the crowd with her rendition of “Piece of My Heart” and earned a “turn around” from the show’s judges, Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera.

During the first season, Beverly found herself amongst the top four contestants. In the final rounds, she got a cold but still managed to wow the crowd with her immense talent.

Since her passing, several friends and fellow Voice contestants have shared their grief.

This loss is hard for Beverly’s fans, but it’s especially hard for Beverly’s family. Please prayer for her friends and family and they navigate this difficult time.
