BREAKING NEWS: Police Have Identified Killer of Righteous Brother's Singer Bill Medley's Ex-Wife [VIDEO]

This was an absolutely shocking and brutal murder that left America speechless nearly 40 years ago.

The victim of this devastating and haunting crime was Righteous Brother's singer, Bill Medley's ex-wife, Karen Klaas.

The Righteous Brothers were best known for their hits such as "You've Lost that Loving Feeling", "Time of My Life" from the movie Dirty Dancing, "Unchained Melody" from the movie Ghost, among many others.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department just identified the man who killed Karen Klaas. In a press conference, authorities identified criminal Kenneth Eugene Troyer, a serial rapist, as the murderer.

Troyer was killed in 1982 after being shot during an attempt to escape prison.

District Attorney Jackie Lacey said they used the method of familial DNA testing to come to the conclusion. While this method is somewhat controversial, they used it as an absolute last resort for this cold case. 

While it gives a great deal of peace to Medley, his sons, and their grandchildren, it's still painful now knowing putting a face to the one who took their beloved away.
