One of pop music’s most recognizable faces has some big news to spill and fans cannot stop talking about it.
The pop icon, Britney Spears, certainly made a name for herself in the late ’90s and early 2000s with some of her classic hits, “Oops...I Did It Again,” “Baby One More Time,” and “Toxic,” just to name a few. Since her rise to stardom, she like many others has had her fair share of bumps along the way.
Less than a month ago, Spears was seen checking herself into a mental health facility. This, undoubtedly, sent fans into a spiral. After some digging, many were led to believe that the cause of her downward spiral had to do with her father’s severe health scare earlier in the year.
“Her dad being sick took a toll on her. He nearly died and actually had another surgery a few weeks ago. He’s not doing well. THey’re so close and it has been a lot,” a close source stated.
They continued: “There is nothing dramatic going on with her - she just realized she needs to make sure to take time to care for herself.”
This left so many hoping, praying, and wishing for the best not only for her father but for Britney as well. Now that it’s been nearly a month since she’s checked herself into the treatment facility, sources have claimed that it has been doing her a world of good.
Things have been looking up so much so that she released a bit of information that sent her devout fans cheering in excitement.
On April 23, it was officially confirmed that her upcoming Broadway musical, Once Upon A One More Time, is going to be turned into a feature film!
According to sources: “Sony Pictures won an auction for screen rights to the movie adaptation of the upcoming stage production. Spears, 37, will produce the film with her longtime manager, Larry Rudolph, under John Davis’ company, Davis Entertainment.”
As of now, no confirmed cast has been announced, but only time will tell just who will have the prized role of playing Britney, herself.
Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she continues to overcome the mental trouble she has been dealing with as of late.
