September 14, 2017

Carrie Underwood is a country music icon, and if you’re anything like me you’ve been following her journey since her first day on American Idol. She’s had my vote from the very beginning and, as time has gone by, she continues to set an incredible example for so many women around the world. She is such a wonderful wife to her husband and a beautiful mother to her son. I admire this classy lady for the character that she continues to demonstrate. If you’re familiar with Carrie’s music you’re also aware of her extremely powerful vocals that are always recognizable. Consistently having a rhyme and a reason, she continues to be intentional with the lyrics that run throughout all her songs.

In this tear-jerking performance Underwood, along with Vince Gill, covers an absolutely beautiful classic, “How Great Thou Art.” As the performance starts the crowd is silent and completely mesmerized by what is unfolding right before their eyes. With captivating lyrics, Vince Gill’s guitar skills, and Underwood’s powerful vocals, the crowd is in complete awe. With not a dry eye in the place, the crowd stands to their feet for one of the most beautiful performances that anyone has ever given.

With so much turmoil going on in the world today, it’s encouraging and inspiring to follow someone who is focusing on spreading so much good to everyone around her. It’s also a great reminder that every single one of us has the opportunity to do amazing things in this life we’ve been given, so don’t be afraid to let your light shine in this dark world. Enjoy this beautiful performance by Carrie Underwood and the lovely lyrics that will grab your heart and leave you with goosebumps!
